I was going to go take a quick nap since I didn't go to bed until around mid-night and got- rudely -woken up at around 7 something, and I'm kinda tired. I got SOME Halloween decorations up, some purple lights up around outside, nothing too amazing, but it's better then nothing. We also got some candy- actually more then I thought we would -not as much verity as I would normally like, but I won't grip; again it's better then nothing.
Along with Halloween we have TWO other things to celebrate!
One: Samhain- Samhain is one of the eight annual festivals, often referred to as 'Sabbats', observed as part of the Wiccan Wheel of the Year. It is considered by most Wiccans to be the most important of the four 'greater Sabbats'. It is generally observed on October 31st in the Northern Hemisphere, starting at sundown. Samhain is considered by some Wiccans as a time to celebrate the lives of those who have passed on, and it often involves paying respect to ancestors, family members, elders of the faith, friends, pets and other loved ones who have died. In some rituals the spirits of the departed are invited to attend the festivities. It is seen as a festival of darkness, which is balanced at the opposite point of the wheel by the spring festival of Beltane, which Wiccans celebrate as a festival of light and fertility.
Two: Magix's BIRTHDAY!- I got my oldest baby free from "The North Side of Town" [Hollanders know what I mean] so I figured out his b-day and it was around Halloween so I figured I'd just say it is on Halloween! :D Bite me if you got a problem with that! I mean COME ON! His name is 'MAGIX' it fits. Anyways here are some resent pictures of him and some pictures of him from when we first got him. Enjoy!
